Why You No Longer See a Silver, Gold, or Platinum Medallion in the Pearl App
If you previously saw a Silver, Gold, or Platinum medallion for your home in the Pearl App and now notice it’s gone, don’t worry — nothing about your home’s performance or value has disappeared. Pearl has simply updated the way home performance is represented. And don’t worry! Your existing Pearl Report with the original score and, if applicable, associated medallion level of Silver, Gold, or Platinum, is still available to you in the Pearl app.
1. The SCORE Changed
Silver, Gold, and Platinum all require a minimum score to be eligible for a threshold. Those thresholds used to be based on Pearl’s 1 - 1400 point scale. Now they are based on Pearl’s 1-1000 SCORE scale. Learn more about why your SCORE might look lower now.
2. A Higher Standard
Beyond specific point thresholds, a home also had to meet minimum criteria to attain Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The new thresholds for Silver, Gold, and Platinum better align with where the high-performing home industry is in 2025, and where it is going.
What This Means for Your Home
- Your Silver, Gold, or Platinum level status wasn’t taken away — it is still available in the Pearl app where you can find your original Pearl Report. Just like ENERGY STAR doesn’t rip the label off your dishwasher when it updates its specifications to a new version, your home still has its original Pearl score and medallion level. It’s just under an older Pearl version.
- All your past upgrades are still documented and count toward your SCORE.
- You now have a more transparent and flexible system to track future improvements.
Reassurance for Homeowners
Your home is still the same high-performing home it was before — in fact, the new Pearl SCORE gives you even more ways to showcase its value. Whether you’re planning upgrades or preparing to sell, your SCORE makes your home’s performance easier to explain and compare.
