Pearl does not perform in-home visits, in-person "inspections", or warranty any goods or services provided by a network member to its customer. However, Pearl will resolve disputes that directly pertain to the project data submitted by a network member for the purpose of certifying those home features for inclusion in the Pearl Certification Report. Examples:
-
- A Pearl Network member certifies a heat pump and Pearl issues a Certification Report to the homeowner, who then disputes the specifications of the heat pump. Pearl will resolve that dispute. If the network member is shown to be at fault, Pearl will re-issue the Certification Report and take appropriate remedial steps with the network member.
- Pearl does not participate in resolving disputes beyond the scope of factual inaccuracies in what appears in the Pearl Certification Report. However, if disputes are resolved through other channels (e.g., the court system, permitting offices, arbitration, etc.) and the conclusion of the dispute results in a judgement against the network member, Pearl reserves the right to remove the member from the Pearl Network.
